Baptism

We are followers of Jesus Christ. Baptism is the point of entry into the Christian family, and involves a declaration of faith. Baptism is conducted with water in the name of Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Baptismal preparation - our union brought together both those who baptise infants and those who are committed in conscience to the practice of believers' baptism. Preparation explains the promises that are being made, and we ask careful and responsible thought by parents who intend to make promises of faith on behalf of their child. Believers’ Baptism, where a person is of an age to make their own promises, may lead directly to full membership of the church.

Those who have been baptised as a child are encouraged to prepare for confirmation which is a time of making those parental promises their own, and assuming the role and responsibilities of full adult church membership.

Weddings

[Wedding Ceremony] [Bride and Groom]

The building is authorised for the conduct of marriages. Anyone wishing to marry in the church should contact the minister. A wedding combines elements that are legal and elements of faith and religious ceremony. We offer a service of Christian worship within which a couple make vows to each other. We seek to make a wedding as personal and appropriate to the couple as is possible.
